What is Heartfulness?


While mindfulness focuses on training attention and cognitive awareness, heartfulness is the practice of feeling and connecting with the heart region. It shifts our center of gravity from the intellect (brain) to feeling (heart).


Heartfulness meditation teaches us to listen to our inner core, fostering empathy, self-compassion, and deep emotional balance.


The Heartfulness Technique


  • **Center your awareness**: Sit quietly and gently draw your attention to your chest region.
  • **Suggest a source of light**: Gently suggest that a divine light is present in your heart, drawing you inward.
  • **Feel, don’t analyze**: If thoughts arise, ignore them and gently return to the feeling of warmth in your heart.
  • **Rest in silence**: Stay in this receptive state for 10 to 15 minutes.
